If you grew up raving in Austin then you know that 626 Soul were ubiquitous. Their renegade parties at various abandoned warehouses, backyards, and parks were pretty legendary and a shit-load of fun. Now they’re as old as dirt, however that hasn’t stopped them from dropping new mixes in the last few weeks. They’ll also be dusting the dirt off for a gig in Austin on December 6th at Plush.
First up is DJ Mel’s Do Over gig from 8/25 in LA. It’s a bit of hip-hop, trap, and general party tunes.
JScro’s “Round & Round” mix is a little more subdued deep/tech house mix that’s perfect for a late night or early morning.
“Cordite” by Coy West, is a party mix of bass-y house jams that smoothes out into deeper fare towards the end.
