With a unique musical vision and a voice that could permeate the walls of any one’s soul, Romanthony became a leader in the house music realm with mid-90s underground favorites like “Let Me Show You Love” and “The Wanderer”. These tunes sent people running to the dancefloor so as to not miss the intoxicating groove that they cast out. The house scene had relished in his sounds for nearly a decade before he sang on Daft Punk’s “One More Time”, released in November of 2000. We had him all to ourselves for long enough and it was time for Romanthony to be revealed, and thus adored, by millions across the globe. “One More Time” went to the top of the charts in multiple countries and still is considered to be one of the top dance tracks to date.
I can personally recall several wonderful experiences with friends while Romanthony’s music served as the backdrop for our gatherings. Again, we were lucky to have him for the time we did. And now he has reached his final destination – the big dancefloor in the sky.
Thank you, Romanthony, for inspiring me in so many ways I can’t even count them all.
