The indomitable Blu Mar Ten have released a holiday gift in the form of their smoothed out, unreleased roller “My Heart” from 2006.

In the festive spirit we decided to give away this little track we made in 2006 called ‘My Heart‘. Many people have asked for a copy of it over the years but for various reasons we never set it loose before today. Well now it’s free, so we hope you like it.

And moving in a completely different direction, Stones Throw Recordings is giving away a cover of Vince Guaraldi’s “Christmas Time Is Here” (made famous in the Charlie Brown Christmas Special) sung by retro soul impressario Mayer Hawthorne.

I’m not one to get all gushy about Christmas tracks, but this is greatness. If you haven’t already done so, do yourself a favor and buy Mayer’s 2009 album A Strange Arrangement.
